Ann Barlow
Care Home Manager
I trained as a Nursery Nurse and spent many years raising my own four children and looking after other people's children. In 1996 I returned to work, part time, as a domiciliary carer eventually being promoted and working full time.
Still working for Essex County Council, I transferred as a Residential Care Home Manager. I managed various homes and then a small, private home in Colchester before I came to Boucherne August 2007.
The moment I walked through the door I knew it was somewhere I wanted to be part of. It really is 'The Boucherne Family'. I have loved being able to continue the relationship centred care which is the foundation of Boucherne. We try to make Boucherne home from home.
I care deeply about my staff and residents and enjoy spending time with them.
